At the Department of Community Medicine of the Arctic University of Norway we carry out research within many aspects of public health, such as epidemiology and surveys of prevalence and risk factors for the major endemic diseases, studies of the economic aspects of healthcare, research on erroneous medical treatment and health policy.

The vision of the Center of International Health of the University of Bergen (UiB) is to provide excellent global health research and training contributing to improved health and equity. In addition to working with colleagues in our own and other Departments and Faculties at UiB, we have close collaborations with many national and international institutions, particularly in low and middle income countries.
